1) What is an eBook?

An eBook can be defined as a file containing all the information that a printed book would contain. It is an electronic book that is read on a computer screen or printed out to paper.

2) What are the advantages of reading an eBook as compared to the printed edition?

The eBook offers a high level of interactivity not possible in print edition. It allows you to immediately connect to additional information or resources at exactly the moment you need them, directly from the pages of the eBook itself.

3) What languages are available on eBooks?

Most of our contents are in English and some are in Mandarin. Translations are provided in 7 languages – Simplified Mandarin, Orthodox Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Spanish and Portuguese. We continue to build our content in other foreign languages.

4) How many are allowed access to the same eBook, at the same time?

There are no restrictions to the number of people reading the same eBook, at the same time.

5) Are users allowed to print pages for use in research or reference?

Users have the option to print pages for use in research or reference within the copyright restrictions. Printing of the entire book is not permitted.

6) What does IG Publishing offers?

7) How can I purchase eBooks?

Institutions and organizations may choose to purchase our eBooks via our perpetual package model (Collection and Pick & Choose) or subscriptions. Readers may choose to purchase our eBooks via our eBook Store.

8) How can my users gain access to iG Publishing eBooks?

We provide access using a few authentication methods such as IP Address and Referring URL.

9) Does IG Publishing provide MARC records?

We provide basic MARC records to the libraries or institutions at no cost.

10) Does our eBooks work on Macintosh Computers?

If you are using the Mac OS X, you will need to install the PDF Browser Plug-In.

11) Do we need to download any programs on our PC, to read your eBooks?

Our eBooks are accessed via the Internet and digitised in PDF format to be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can get free software from Adobe.com to read a PDF file.
